The trojan war was taken place by Zeus, the father of the deities. For Zeus had known what was happenning to the earth. To solve the proble of overpopulation.
Achilles, the greatest Greek warrior, came out from marriage between a minor goddess, Thetis and a mortal, Peleus.
Paris, who was given a privilage through a golden apple, was to choose the most beautiful goddesses of the three who were Hera, Aphrodite and Athena. Each goddess promised Paris greatest wealth on earth, in which Hera promised Paris power, Athena, the wisdon while Aphrodite promised him the most beautiful woman in the world. Thus, the golden apple was awarded to Aphrodite who promised the most beautiful woman in the world.
Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world, was however already married to Menelaus, king of Sparta. By the help of Aphrodite, Helen was taken by Paris. Menelaus was enraged that he banded with Agamemnon, the king of Mycenae to have Helen back.
While the battle, Patroclos, friend of Achilles, breathed the last breathe by the sword of Hector. For Hector was as skillful as that of Achilles.
Hector's wife Andromache, worried Hector of the peril of the battle.
When the battle for Hector and Achilles came, Achilles won by of its imortal body, then he take the body of Hector moving by the dusts of the ground, when Hector's father Priam was watching all over the battle, even the death of his son and the pitiful result.
Afterward, King Priam went alone to Achilles' tent to return his son's body. He even kissed the hand of a man that brought force to kill.
Hecuba, mother of Hector, Andromache and Brieseis joined the lamentation for the death of the greatest warrior, Hector.
